Welcome to the journey...

"Your experiences matter. Write from the heart. The rest will follow." Those words, the same words I shared with my writing students over the years, echo in my head. Writing from the heart was easily done, but the sharing it with others was a disquieting proposition. I give full

credit to my husband for what I am doing here. He encouraged me to take up my pen once again and write at a time when grief, loss and hopelessness resided in my soul. In his wisdom, he knew complete transparency was the only path to healing.

 

So, here I am...wife to my best friend, mom to two adult sons who have taught me so much, mother-in-law to my two beautiful daughters from other mothers, grandmother to six grandchildren who have left my heart forever changed, daughter of God, inspirational Christian writer and Bible girl...opening my journal and my heart to my readers knowing that though I put the words on paper, it is God who places them in my heart.
